How to Prepare for Your Medical Imaging Appointment
If you’ve never received an Ultrasound, CT scan, MRI, X-ray, or other type of medical scan, you may have some questions before your appointment at PRP Diagnostic Imaging.

Before Your Appointment
Arrive 10 -15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete paperwork.
The duration of your appointment and preparation instructions will vary depending on the type of imaging your Doctor has requested.
You’ll receive specific preparation instructions at the time of booking.

After Your Appointment
It’s a good idea to maintain a high fluid intake for 24 hours after some scans.
Images are available to you via the MyPRP patient portal. Your images, along with a report, are sent directly to your Doctor—usually within 1-2 business days.
Our network of radiologists provide you and your Doctor with access to a wide range of specialist expertise to report on your images.

Alex joined PRP Diagnostic Imaging in 2007. Alex graduated from the University of NSW and undertook Radiology training at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle.
He completed an MRI fellowship at Westmead Hospital. Alex previously worked as an associate/partner in a practice on the South coast of NSW for five years.
He is interested in all aspects of radiology especially MRI.
