As of June 2026, PRP clinics are integrating with My Health Record, an Australian Government initiative that maintains a digital record of your key health information so that it is available to you and your healthcare providers anytime.

My Health Record consolidates documents on immunisations, pathology and diagnostic imaging reports, prescription and dispensing information, hospital discharge summaries and more, all in one place.

Please note that by default, your imaging report from PRP will be uploaded to My Health Record. However, you are always in control of your record and can update your settings at any time to decide what you’d like to store. Access the My Health Record website to update your preferences or to learn more about My Health Record

If you currently have a My Health Record account:

If you have a My Health Record account, your imaging report will be sent automatically. If you prefer not to have your imaging results uploaded to My Health Record, please notify our team, and they will modify the settings for your specific examination accordingly.

Please note that opting out of My Health Record will not impact how your referring doctor receives your imaging results or affect your access to your images and reports through MyPRP.

If you do not currently have a My Health Record account:

Your imaging report will not be sent if you have opted out of My Health Record. If you have opted out of My Health Record, please notify our team, and they will modify the settings for you accordingly.

FAQs

How do I know if I have a My Health Record account?

Every Australian now has a My Health Record unless they ‘opted out’ before the end of January 2019 or deleted their account after January 2019.

If you are new to Australia, a My Health Record will be created for you when you register for Medicare.

If you have opted out or deleted your My Health Record, you can re-register at any time.

Can you help me with the setup of My Health Record?

PRP is not part of the assisted registration program, so we cannot assist in the set up of My Heath Record in any way.

However, you can visit myhealthrecord.gov.au to get information and complete the process online, or call the Australian Digital Health Agency’s help line (1800 723 471) at any time.

Can you adjust my preferences on My Health Record for me?

Unfortunately, we can’t do this for you, but you can easily manage your preferences at myhealthrecord.gov.au, linked to your myGov account.

When will my results be available in My Health Record?

Once your diagnostic imaging report is prepared, it will be forwarded to your referring doctor or specialist and uploaded to My Health Record. You will be able to see the report in your record immediately, but you will not be able to open the document until seven days have passed. This delay allows your healthcare provider time to review the results and discuss them with you.
