Dr Sonia Kariappa joined PRP Imaging in 2023 from Western Imaging Group

She completed her medical degree at the University of Sydney in 1998.

Dr Kariappa commenced her radiology training at The Royal Melbourne Hospital and completed her specialist training at St George Hospital, Sydney. She subsequently undertook advanced training in MRI at Westmead Hospital, and subspecialty training at Emory University in interventional radiology. She is a RANCZCR Part 2 examiner.

She has an interest in Breast, Body and Women’s Imaging.
