Dr Sibtain Raza

Dr Sibtain Raza MBBS, FCPS, FRANZCR, EBIR completed his Radiology training at the prestigious Aga Khan University in Pakistan leading to his FCPS in 2008. Dr Raza undertook two advanced fellowships at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada – one in Body Imaging and the other in Vascular & Interventional Radiology – further strengthening his expertise across complex image-guided procedures and advanced cross-sectional imaging.

 

After coming to Australia in 2015, he became a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiologists (FRANZCR) in 2016 and went on to obtain his European Board of Interventional Radiology (EBIR) qualification in 2019.

 

His clinical interests span Abdominal and interventional radiology, including angioplasty and stenting, endovascular aneurysm repair, embolisation procedures, venous access, percutaneous biliary, renal and GI interventions, uterine fibroid and tumour ablation, and a wide range of CT- and ultrasound-guided procedures. He also has extensive experience in abdominal and pelvic MRI.

 

Dr Raza has held senior clinical and leadership roles across Australia, including serving as Clinical Director for I-Med Radiology North Tasmania. He has also contributed to professional practice as a former RANZCR FCR Councillor and committee member for both Interventional Radiology and Workforce committees.

 

He currently holds VMO positions for Royal North Shore and Nepean hospitals.
