At PRP Diagnostic Imaging we take the health and safety of our patients, staff and the local community very seriously. As the Coronavirus
continues to make headlines, we wanted to provide our patients with up-to-date information on the proactive measures we are taking.
We will continue to monitor the situation in line with the Department of Health guidelines and provide updates as the situation evolves.
All our PRP practices are currently open.
Unfortunately, PRP clinics do not have the facilities to isolate those affected with coronavirus from our other vulnerable patients, many of whom are elderly or oncology patients, etc. Patients in quarantine or those with symptoms suggestive of coronavirus should call their referrers or the Public Health Hotline on 1300 066 055 for appropriate advice.
Patient only policy
PRP now has a strict patient only policy at all practices. This is to minimise risk for vulnerable patients.
If you have flu-like symptoms not confirmed as coronavirus.
If you have flu-like symptoms you will need to call the front desk before entering the practice. We will try to accommodate your examination. If you have a mask, you will be asked to wear it. Alternatively, PRP staff will bring a mask out to you. Clinic access will be for patients only and anyone accompanying a patient will need to wait outside. Once tests are completed, we ask that patients leave the practice immediately.
Health and hygiene
To protect our employees and patients, we have 1.5 metre social distancing floor markers at our receptions. We have also implemented clear plastic shields across all of our reception desks.
We encourage all patients to remove gloves upon entering our practices, and use hand sanitiser provided to also help prevent the spread.
