SUPERIOR TREATMENT DECISIONS FOR MSK MADE POSSIBLE

Conditions such as instability and impingement are very difficult to diagnose with static CT and/or MR imaging. Dynamic imaging, performed using conventional X-ray, provides 2D information but is of limited value as it fails to provide critical 3D information, particularly for complex joints such as those in the hand & wrist. Dynamic Volume MSK CT imaging, acquired using the Aquilion ONE GENESIS Edition, enables various joints to be imaged throughout specific movements that cause instability and/or impingement. The resulting 3D CT images can then be reviewed with the addition of time and motion (i.e. in 4D) in order to help to better understand the complex motion and true nature of the instability and/or impingement. As such, superior treatment decisions can be made for a wide variety of musculoskeletal functional disorders.
